Dear Fellow UPINHF Members, Supporters, and Friends,

Greetings!

On behalf of the UPINHF Officers and Board of Directors, I am reaching out to let you know of recent happenings in the Philippines. While the country has yet to recover from the economic havoc that the pandemic has created, another calamity and devastation has again impacted the lives of individuals and families.

As you may know the Philippines was hit hard by severe successive typhoons that wreak devastation over the Cagayan Valley, the Bicol Region, and parts of the greater Manila area.  Thousands of homes were destroyed, and in some places, flood has not receded depriving our hapless “Kababayans” shelters and refuge.  More urgently, distant barangays that are cut off from the rest of the country, no communication and transportation, are experiencing untold miseries, isolation hunger and bereft of necessities.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, UPINHF is also a charitable entity drawn from the outflowing generosity and kindness of its members. Indeed, we cannot isolate ourselves from the suffering and distress of our fellow Filipinos.  Let us include all typhoon victims in our prayers.   And for those who can, to share whatever amount to a humanitarian fund which shall, from hereon, be named: UPINHF Caritas”.  Caritas evokes Charity, Compassion, Benevolence, Kindness!

Donations maybe sent by mail or via ZELLE to:
